about

Emmasierra Songs presents the release of the single “Inevitable”, the latest work from artist Forest Robots (Francisco Dominguez). After the successful release of two full length albums in 2018, Dominguez takes a brief break from creating instrumental conceptual works and steps into the mic to deliver a vocal performance reminiscing of works from Depeche Mode, My Bloody Valentine and Cocteau Twins. The single makes use of propulsive bass lines and synth melodies to build a climatic chorus of wall-of-sound like guitars as he champions self empowerment in a world where large corporations constantly inflict self doubt on men and women and offer only consumerism as the exclusive path to meaningful self fulfillment. Heavy stuff but beware, you may be too busy enraptured in the spectral nature of the rhythm and melody the first few times you listen to the song to notice. Repeated listening enthusiastically recommended.

"Another memorable and rewarding piece of music, from an artist who consistently thinks and creates just outside of the mainstream or more predictable arenas." - Stereo Stickman

"You’ll remember a single like this, either for its sentiment or sound" - Sleeping Bag Studios

"Whose Lovechild? Depeche Mode meets Leonard Cohen" - The Ark Of Music

"Well crafted and produced single that excites me for what Forest Robots has in plans for the future." - Fresh Out Of The Booth

"This is a bold step forward into unchartered territory for Forest Robots and already a highly successful one, creatively." - The Faulkner Review

"This is truly a track that will keep your head moving in sync with the groove." - Warlock Asylum International News

"Wouldn’t seem out of place in a dance club scene on the soundtrack of a 1980′s thriller." - Stepkid

"Outside the usual sonic cliches, not only in terms of melody but also in terms of sonic aesthetics and production value." - Bandcamp Diaries

lyrics

In the end
When the sky begins to fall
And all of your friends
Question every single call

They try and pretend
Like they know something that you don’t
But that’s when you say

When you know, you know
When you know, you know
When you know, you know
You know, you know

When you know, you know
When you know, you know
When you know, you know
You know, you know

No sense in pretending
Heartbreak will always come

Your friends can’t be saving you
Heartbreak will always come

Regret can’t be something
You take with you everyday
That’s why you say

When you know, you know
When you know, you know
When you know, you know
You know, you know

When you know, you know
When you know, you know
When you know, you know
You know, you know

When you know, you know
When you know, you know
When you know, you know
You know, you know
